A Case of Camey Procedure

Abstract
The Camey procedure is a technique for constructing the functional, continent bladder in male patients following cystoprostatectomy for bladder carcinoma.
The first procedure was performed on April, 1958 in France by Camey.
We performed this type of operation to a 46 years old bladder carcinoma male on April, 1988.
Over a year follow up study was done by loopometry and the maximum pressure was 60 cmH20 and the maximum flow rate was 8ml/sec. Bladder capacity was increased from 270ml to 630ml, checked on 1 month and 18 months postoperatively and there was no significant changes of electrolytes. The residual urine was reduced from 80ml to 40ml during 1 year.
